Neurological allied health services support people living with conditions that affect the brain, spinal cord or nervous system. This may include stroke, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions. Support is guided by individual goals and functional needs.

Neurological occupational therapy focuses on supporting participation in daily activities such as self-care, home tasks, mobility and community engagement. Interventions are guided by assessment of functional abilities, environment and individual priorities.

Speech pathology supports communication, language, cognitive communication and swallowing function. Support may include strategies to assist with speech clarity, understanding language, memory, social communication and mealtime safety where appropriate.

Yes. Neurological allied health services may be funded through the NDIS when they relate to a participant’s goals and reasonable and necessary supports. We work with self-managed, plan-managed and NDIA-managed participants.

A neurological assessment involves gathering information about your medical history, current functional abilities and goals. This may include discussion, observation of activities and use of standardised assessment tools where appropriate. Findings are used to inform a therapy plan.

Yes. We can support people transitioning from hospital or inpatient rehabilitation to home. This may include assessment of functional needs, environmental considerations and support planning for daily activities.
